What was my inspiration for this illustration?
In ancient times, women and the moon were revered and celebrated. We all as humans played an important role in society as embodiments of the cosmos in this dimension. The sacred cycles connected to life and the cycles of the Moon were respected and used for magic, fertility, and other kinds of rituals.
With the pass of time women were systematically taught to devalue their own intuition, to be ashamed of their “Moon”, called hysterical and problematic instead of Cyclical, taught to be invisible, quiet, modest, and to occupy as little space as possible. Intuition was a door for mockery and all that one day was sacred and revered was confined into a veil of shame, self-loathing and guilt.
The world is evolving and together we will find balance. Reconnect to the moon and the cycles of our inner body, the earth, and the universe.
